New Album Releases

With so many albums being released every week, it’s hard to figure out what to buy sometimes. Don’t worry because we’re here to help. Here are three albums that we selected carefully for you to check out. Music that will be worth your money.

Chris Brown- Fortune
Please put aside Chris Brown’s bad press and pay attention to his music because this boy is mad talented. His closest comparison is Usher’s Looking 4 Myself, but this album definitely sounds more diverse, as he still keeps up with his R&B swagger by keeping true to his Chris Brown sound. There’s amazing dance tunes like “Turn Up The Music” and “Don’t Wake Me Up”, infectious tracks like “Strip” and “Trumpet Lights”, as well as slow jams like “Sweet Love” and “4 Years Old”. Fortune is a solid release from Breezy.

Fiona Apple- The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do
You want angst and female empowerment music, then Fiona Apple is who you’re looking for. It has been years since Fiona Apple’s last album. This one-of-a-kind lady definitely did not lose her art in music and gave us another stellar album with a bizarrely long title. From the opening first single “Every Single Day” until the closing track “Hot Knife”, she keeps us in suspense with her unique vocals. Fiona Apple is one of the few mysterious storytellers in music of our generations. The Idler Wheel… is definitely one of the most exciting albums released this year.

Maroon 5- Overexposed
Maroon 5 have always had a very good success with their music, but with lead singer Adam Levine’s stint on singing competition The Voice and the band’s collaboration with another fellow The Voice judge Christina Aguilera on “Moves Like Jagger”, it skyrocketed the band’s fame to a whole new level. Overexposed is a wonderful pop album with plenty of infectious songs such as first single “Payphone” with Wiz Khalifa, “Lucky Strike” or “Doin’ Dirt”. Maroon 5 definitely stepped up their game and delivered a fun-filled release that will keep you singing and grooving throughout the album.
